The completed rugs shown
in these photos are not for sale, but
are shown to help you see what they could look like completed. You
may have different colour choices, of course.
There are many more patterns in the catalogue, but it is not yet
possible to show them all here. Catalogues may be ordered by
clicking here.
Nearly all of the patterns are silk screened on to the backing of
your choice. This provides a clear, dark line. You can choose
either Monk's Cloth (cotton), Rug Warp (heavier cotton) or Linen. A
guide is below to help you choose which is best. The prices are
shown for monk's cloth and linen...rug warp prices fall somewhere
in between. A colour photo comes with each pattern (if
available).
Patterns are printed as straight as possible to the weave of the
backing. Pattern returns (in original condition) may be done within
21 days of purchase. You may also exchange your purchased pattern
for the same pattern on a different backing.
All designs are copyrighted by New Earth Designs and may
not be reproduced in any form or means without express written
permission from Jeanne Benjamin. This is per the U.S. copyright
office.
All prices are subject to change without notice. A 5% Mass sales
tax will be added to Mass residents. Patterns that are ordered will
be sent with an invoice that includes reasonable shipping charges.
Payment is due upon receipt of the pattern. Professional discounts
are available to certified rug hooking teachers or stores, please
inquire.
If you would like to submit a photo of a New Earth Design completed
rug; please do, I'd love to see it! Your photo may be selected to
be attached to patterns as a visual aid.
• Monks Cloth is great for narrow cut shaded pieces as you can always squeeze another row in. Many enjoy it for wide cuts as well.
• Rug Warp is preferred by many for cuts between 3 and 5. I find it tight going beyond that.
• Linen. The linen I use is wonderful for any cut between 3 and 7, as this is what my designs are meant to be cut on. I haven't tried hooking wider on it for that reason.
***NEW!***
In addition, I am now printing on a "primitive" brown linen when requested. This linen is best for those patterns of mine that are conducive to 6 - 8 cut.
